After
earning critical acclaim for her performances as a mezzo-soprano, Susan
Rheingans made her debut as a soprano earlier this
year. Ms. Rheingans’
ringing high voice has always
made her performances of the lyric mezzo repertoire noteworthy,
particularly in
roles such as Rosina in Il Barbiere di
Siviglia,
Octavian in Der
Rosenkavalier
and Cherubino in Le
Nozze di Figaro.
She has performed with the
Los Angeles Music
Center Opera, Bel Canto Opera of Los Angeles, New York Opera Forum,
Philadelphia Concert Opera and, most recently, Delaware Valley Opera
Company,
and has appeared as soloist on national and international tours with
the
renowned Roger Wagner Chorale and with symphony orchestras and choral
organizations both the east and west coasts.
Ms. Rheingans has performed numerous
solo recitals,
including chamber
music performances at Trinity Center for Urban Life and the
Philadelphia Museum
of Art. She
frequently performs
programs devoted to new music, and has premiered new solo vocal works
in the
United States and Europe.
Ms. Rheingans maintains a private voice
studio in Fairless Hills, PA.
